1. Overview
This Return & Refund Policy applies to purchases made through www.edifier.com.my (the “Site“), operated by Inter-Asia Technology Sdn Bhd (Company No. 573896-A), the authorised distributor of Edifier® products in Malaysia (“Edifier Malaysia“, “we“, “us“, or “our“).
This Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Warranty Terms. Issues relating to product defects or malfunction after the return period are handled under our Warranty Terms, not this Policy.
2. Change of Mind Returns
2.1 If you change your mind about a purchase, you may request a return and refund within 7 calendar days from the date of delivery, subject to the conditions in this Policy.
2.2 Change-of-mind returns are offered at our discretion as a customer service gesture and are not required by law. We reserve the right to decline requests that do not meet the conditions below.
3. Conditions for Change of Mind Returns
To be eligible for a change-of-mind return, the product must:
- Be returned within 7 calendar days of delivery;
- Remain sealed and unopened, in its original, unused condition;
- Be returned with all original packaging, accessories, manuals, and free gifts (if any), fully intact;
- Show no signs of use, installation, or tampering;
- Be accompanied by a valid proof of purchase (invoice or order confirmation).
Products that have been opened, unsealed, used, installed, or show any signs of wear will not be eligible for a change-of-mind return or refund.
4. Order Variation / Change of Mind Before Dispatch
4.1 If you wish to change or cancel your order due to change of mind (e.g., wrong variant, colour, or model selected) before it is dispatched, you must notify us within 1 hour of placing the order via [email protected] or +603-7880 4001.
4.2 Requests made after this 1-hour window may not be accommodated if the order has already been processed or dispatched for shipping. In such cases, you may still request a change-of-mind return once the product is delivered, subject to Sections 2 and 3 above.
4.3 We recommend contacting us as early as possible, as orders may be processed for dispatch shortly after being placed.
5. How to Request a Return
5.1 To initiate a change-of-mind return, contact us at [email protected] or +603-7880 4001 within 7 calendar days of delivery, providing:
- Order number and proof of purchase;
- Reason for return;
- Photos of the product and its packaging showing it remains sealed and unopened.
5.2 Once your return request is approved, we will provide instructions on how and where to send the product back.
5.3 Return shipping costs are borne by the customer. We recommend using a trackable courier service, as we are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit back to us.
6. Inspection and Refund Process
6.1 Upon receiving the returned product, our team will inspect the item to verify it remains sealed, unopened, and in its original condition as required under Section 3.
6.2 Refunds will only be processed after the returned product has passed inspection and is confirmed to meet all eligibility conditions.
6.3 If the returned product fails inspection (e.g., opened, used, missing accessories, or damaged), the return will be rejected, and the product will be shipped back to you at your own cost. No refund will be issued in such cases.
6.4 Approved refunds will be processed within [e.g., 7–14 working days] of passing inspection, via the original payment method used at checkout, unless otherwise agreed.
6.5 Any delivery charges paid on the original order are non-refundable, except where the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong or defective item shipped) — see Section 8.
7. Non-Returnable Items
The following are not eligible for change-of-mind return or refund:
- Products that have been opened, unsealed, or used;
- Products without original packaging, accessories, or manuals;
- Products purchased during clearance, final sale, or marked as non-returnable on the product page;
- Gift cards or promotional vouchers;
- Products with removed, altered, or illegible serial numbers or warranty seals.
8. Wrong, Defective, or Damaged Items on Arrival
8.1 If you receive the wrong product, or a product that is defective or damaged upon arrival, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at [email protected], with photos/videos of the issue and your proof of purchase.
8.2 In such cases, the 7-day sealed/unopened condition under Section 3 does not apply, as the issue is not a change-of-mind return. We will arrange for a replacement, exchange, or refund at no additional cost to you, including bearing the return shipping cost.
8.3 Claims for defects arising after this period, or from normal use, will be handled under our Warranty Terms.
9. Refund Method
9.1 Approved refunds will be credited to the same payment method used for the original purchase (e.g., credit/debit card, online banking, e-wallet).
9.2 The time taken for the refund to reflect in your account may vary depending on your bank or payment provider, typically [e.g., 5–10 working days] after we process the refund.
